This store sells beats by burnymadeit. This page explains what information it collects, why it needs it, and what you can do about it.
When you buy a beat
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach this site.
- From Stripe the store receives your name, email address, the amount you paid and the license you bought. It keeps these with your order to deliver your files, generate your license agreement and answer questions about your purchase.
- Your download links expire after 7 days or 10 downloads each.
When you browse
- The store has no ads and no third-party trackers, and its public pages set no cookies.
- To see which pages and YouTube channels bring visitors, the store counts page views. It stores the page, the time, where the visit came from (for example which YouTube channel's link you clicked) and a code that changes every day and can't be traced back to you. It doesn't store your IP address.
- If you arrive from one of burnymadeit's YouTube videos, your browser remembers which channel sent you until you close the tab (in session storage, not a cookie), so a purchase can be credited to that channel. Beats you save with the heart button stay in your browser only.
- The hosting provider, Render, keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Beat pages can show the beat's YouTube video in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. If you play it, YouTube's terms and Google's privacy policy apply.
YouTube
The store's private admin dashboard, the studio, uses YouTube API Services. burnymadeit uses it to publish their own beat videos to their own YouTube channels: it uploads each video, sets its title, description, tags and thumbnail, adds it to a playlist, lists the channel's own uploads (so an interrupted upload is never posted twice) and reads view counts for those videos. It reads each connected channel's name and picture to show them in the dashboard, and keeps the channel's sign-in token, encrypted, on the store's server so it can post at the scheduled time. Nothing from YouTube is sold or shared with anyone else, and it isn't used for advertising.
Buyers and visitors never sign in with Google, and the store doesn't access their Google or YouTube accounts.
View counts and channel details from YouTube are refreshed every day, and anything that hasn't been refreshed for 30 days is deleted. A channel owner can remove the studio's access at any time in Google's security settings. When a channel is removed from the studio, or its access is revoked there, its sign-in token and the YouTube data stored for it are deleted within 7 days (removing it in the studio deletes them right away and also revokes the token with Google).
The studio's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
By connecting a channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. See also the Google Privacy Policy and this site's terms.
Who gets your information
The store doesn't sell your information. It shares it only with the services that run the store: Stripe for payments, Render for hosting.
Keeping and deleting it
Order records are kept for accounting and so your files can be sent again if you lose them. Page-view counts are deleted after about a year. YouTube data is kept as described above. To get a copy of your information, or to have it deleted, email burnymadeit@gmail.com.
